Think Your Way Out

Welcome to my classroom!  Now that you are here, don’t think for one minute of trying to get away.  You are all mine.  I am the teacher others have warned you about.  In my classes, thinking is mandatory.  Do not attempt to escape.  All exits have been blocked.  There is no backing out now.  In spite of your every effort, there is simply no way of getting around it. You are here.  I am in control.  I am your teacher.  There is only one way:  THROUGH.  You are going to have to THINK your way out.”

People are talking

…and here is what they’re saying

“…(after) it had been up for a week or two, one of my top students came up to me and said, ‘The problem is, Mrs. ___ , every teacher here is kinda hard like that and so you have to think your way out of this whole, entire place!’  When I shared this comment with my colleagues they all got a kick out of it.  Our emphasis this year has been on  “increasing expectations….Many (teachers) also have see your writings and really like them.”

“…very much like the poster’s emphasis on critical thinking.  (We need more like this!)”
